Book Charter Flights to Antalya Airport

Taking a private jet to Antalya saves time and offers you ultimate flexibility. The fine sandy beaches and luxury holiday homes located around the metropolis ensure that scores of luxury travellers head to the Turkish Riviera, year after year. Thanks to its VIP Terminal, you can be assured of the greatest level of comfort during your time at Antalya International Airport.

History of Antalya (AYT) Airport

Antalya Airport only had a single domestic terminal up until 1998. By the 1990s, due to the growing popularity of the Turkish Riviera as a tourist destination, the terminal’s capacity was no longer sufficient. Consequently, in 1998 a new terminal opened, dedicated to serving international flights. The domestic terminal was rebuilt in 2009 and now features a VIP area.

By 2003 it was becoming clear that even the new terminal would not offer enough space, as flight traffic had increased by 78 percent since 1998. As passenger numbers peaked, it was decided in 2005 that another international terminal should be built that would double the capacity for foreign visitors. An investment of 86 million dollars to design and build a modern complex was made and the results paid off: in 2011, the Airports Council International of Europe (ACI) voted Antalya Airport the Best Airport in Europe.

Charter a Flight to Antalya and Explore the Turkish Riviera

Located at the foothills of the Lycean Taurus Mountains in the southwest of Turkey, Antalya offers a rich mix of beaches, secluded eucalyptus and pine forests, luxury resorts and ancient ruins. In particular, the fine sandy beaches, turquoise waters, and guaranteed beautiful weather bring visitors from all over the world to Antalya. With its long coastline, it’s no coincidence that the region is referred to as the Turkish Riviera. The city hosts 2 million inhabitants and a number of European businesses that are thriving on the city’s excellent infrastructure and tourism boom.

Don’t miss out on seeing Antalya’s old town, which stands atop a steep cliff and offers stunning views out across the vast Mediterranean. The ancient Greeks, Byzantines, and Ottomans have all left their mark there. Hadrian’s Gate, built in honour of the eponymous Roman emperor, stands among various other ornaments. You can find other treasured artefacts in the city’s Archaeological Museum. The minaret of the Yivil-Minare Mosque is a marvel of Ottoman architectural design. For those hoping to get a better view of the city and coastline from the water, head to the harbour where boats can be rented for the day.

Things are a little quieter in the small towns outside the city. For many years Belek has been an insider tip for golf lovers. Konyaalti beach nearby is also popular. Side, another smaller town, has a plenty to offer as well, including its stunning beach and ancient ruins such as the well-preserved Temple of Apollo.
